This A5 colour photograph is of Mavin Khoo, the internationally renowned Bharata Natyam dance performer and associate of Akademi: South Asian Dance. The photograph depicts Mavin performing in the corridors of Chelsea and Westminster hospital in London, as part of the inaugural performance of ‘Dancing for the Spirit’. This event took place in collaboration with Akademi and was part of a two year programme of South Asian dance and music workshops held for the benefit of patients, staff and visitors to the hospital.
