This beige and brown leaflet is for a Mán Melá production entitled ‘Across the Black Waters’. The musical composer and director was Baluji Shrivastav and formed part of Baluji’s commitment to theatre and development work. ‘Across the Black Waters’ was an adaptation of Mulk Raj Anand’s novel about the role of the Indian soldiers on the Western Front during the First World War. Mán Melá toured the play at theatres and schools in October and November in 1998, and has since continued to present extracts of the production nationally.
