We have featured four pages from the ‘Into the Open’ catalogue, published by the City of Sheffield. The exhibition showcased twenty-two contemporary British Black artists, and was organised by Sheffield Arts Department and subsidised by the then Arts Council of Great Britain. It toured at Mappin Art Gallery, in Sheffield from 4 – 9 August 1984; Castle Museum, Nottingham, from 16 September – 21 October 1984 and at Bells Court in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne between 2 and 30 November 1984.
