Series notes | From 1982 onwards, the size and format of most of Saleem's paintings grew considerably, sometimes producing new concepts and new shapes, challenging traditional formats with voids, and exploring the third dimension. The scale of each work often demanded different techniques to best express his visual ideas, hence the introduction, at this stage, of muslin on paper. |
Collection notes | The Saleem Arif Quadri collection contains digital images of his artworks, including paintings, ceramics and manuscript books from the late 1950s to the present day, as well as from several exhibition catalogues. The materials also include items from his curatorial work. |
