Description | This illustration is one of two (see digital item Suniti and Bhadravati at the pizza parlour – Image 1) created for the scene in Suniti Namjoshi’s 1985 fable, ‘The Conversations of Cow’. In this scene, the characters Suniti and her travelling companion Bhadravati the Brahmini cow are ordering pizza when the manager appears. He is angry that a cow is in his restaurant and confronts Suniti. The image differs from the previous digital item in shading and facial expressions of the characters. The illustration was created by American feminist writer and artist Mary Meigs (1917-2002). |
