Series notes | Described as the younger cousin of Asian Dub Foundation, Charged are founder and vocalist, Harvinder Sangha, Bilal on bass, Alex on guitar, Marv on the decks, dancer Nerm, Yash playing the dhol, VJ on the tablas and Alex Fung. The sound of Charged is described as Electro Punjabi Funk, by the band themselves. True to Nation Records' philosophy, Charged provide a conscious social commentary of today's youth, informed by the need of tangible actions in the wave of changing traditions. Their debut EP, 'Indian Gangsta', was released on Nation Records in 1998 and their first album entitled Hero was released in 2000 on Nation Records. |
