Description | The five digitised images in this item form the CD sleeve to the Sabri Ensemble’s debut album, ‘Dhin-Na’. Released in December 1999, and produced by Sarvar Sabri and Mark Lockett, the album brings together North Indian and western classical music, jazz, Latin, East European folk and other diverse traditions. The Sabri Ensemble was founded by Sarvar Sabri and its members comprise Lisa Mallet on flute, Kamal Sabri on sarangi, Alvin Davis on the saxophone, Mark Lockett on the piano, keyboards and percussion, Trevor Lines on the double bass and percussion, Jozef Rememy on percussion and Sarvar Sabri on the tablas. The CD sleeve features an image of the ensemble and includes notes written by Sarvar Sabri. |
