We showed work by the AWWC to schoolchildren who used the texts as creative springboards, writing poetry and creating GCSE Level art work, shown below, that was later exhibited at both The West Wing in Slough, and Reading Central Library.
New writers recreated the AWWC ethic and we published their work in a collection, Against the Grain Our archive was used to teach heritage skills to local community groups. We ran five public literary events including a half day celebration with performance, food, and talks with the founders of the AWWC.
