In1970, Juginder Lamba co-founded New Planets Arts Workshop, a street theatre group which later became a youth club. He was co-director until 1974 when the youth club base was shut down. This colourful mural illustrating life in the city, was part of New Planet’s work with Lancaster Community Arts, and was completed in 1978. That same year, Juginder Lamba was appointed Lancaster City’s first Town Artist.
