Description | This is a flyer for a dance-drama performance, ‘Samasara’, inspired by the Horniman Museum’s exhibition entitled “Sacred Lands Devoted Lives”, portraying daily life in a south Indian village. Students from five schools in Lambeth, Lewisham and Greenwich worked with professional dance artists from the Academy of Indian Dance to create a production featuring the cycles of the day, human life and the four elements. ‘Samsara’ was held in conjunction with The Horniman Museum, The Royal Ballet and the Academy of Indian Dance. The event took place at Lewisham Theatre on 26 April 1995. |
