Description

This black and white photograph was taken in 1946 in Pune, India. Suniti Namjoshi is the little girl standing between her grandparents, Malojirao Naik Nimbalkar, the Rajasaheb of Phaltan (1896-1978) and Laxmi Devi Naik Nimbalkar, the Ranisaheb of Phaltan (1901-1984). Her mother, Sarojini Namjoshi (1920- ), is second from the left in the front row, and her father, Manohar Namjoshi (1917-1953), is second from the left in the back row.
