Sangeeta began singing at the age of twelve years old after winning a competition organised by BBC Radio Leicester. She has released numerous Hindi and Punjabi albums in the UK since signing to Keda Records in 1989, and is the recipient of several UK Asian Pop awards. This image was taken by Mr Harjunder Obhi form the Leicester Mercury newspaper after Sangeeta had just won “Best Female Singer” and “Favourite Female Artist” at the UK Asian Pop Awards in 1994.
