Released in March 2000, ‘Qilaash’ features twelve tracks from sixteen of Nation Record’s artistes: Asian Dub Foundation, Charged, Cosmic Rocker, DJ Cheb-i Sabbah, Earthtribe, Fun-Da-Mental, Indian Ropeman, Joi, Juttla, Natacha Atlas, Recycler, State of Bengal, Talvin Singh, TJ Rehmi, Transglobal Underground and World Service. The album title takes its name from a tribe in the Hindu Khush Mountain range of Chitral, Northern Pakistan, who have maintained their traditions and beliefs for thousands of years despite the upheavals around them.This press release cites the praise of several music critics.
