Description	This colour image depicts a scene from a 1996 performance of ‘Dangers of Common Sense’, devised by Mán Melá . The play, directed by Dominic Rai, was an HIV awareness production aimed at youth, and toured various schools, colleges and youth centres in London. This image features Kiran D’Costa and Janice Grace Vydelingum in a performance in front of a school audience.

Series notes	As part of Mán Melá’s commitment to community issues and involvement, in 1995 the company devised a play entitled Dangers of Common Sense, which explored issues surrounding HIV and AIDS. The piece was commissioned by BHASEL (Black HIV AIDS South East London) and toured schools, colleges and youth clubs in 1996. The play was directed by Mán Melá artistic director Dominic Rai and featured Razia Sultana Ayub, Kiran D’Costa, Emilio Doorgasingh and Janice Grace Vydelingum as cast members. The play fused hard-hitting contemporary drama with bhangra music.
