Series notes | Devised in collaboration with Anuradha Kapoor, from the National School of Drama, New Delhi, 'This Story's not for Telling' presents a series of stories that deal with the theme of communalism. Director, Anuradha Kapoor is known for her work with reviving Indian folk theatre traditions and folk elements such as storytelling, using a chorus and encouraging audience participation, elements which she also infused throughout these stories. The cast include: Yogesh Bhatt, Sudha Buchar, Ayub Khan Din, Rezaul Kabir, Nizwar Karanj, Naushaba Khan and Rita Mishra. The production team are as follows: Director, Anuradha Kapoor, Design, Anna Hubbard and Mala Sikka, Set Construction, Brendan Hehir and Music, Baluji Srivastav. The show was on tour at the Tara Arts Centre, 30 September-5 October and at the Oval House, London, 16-20 October. |
